Peer Advice: Organization Skills

Updated: Apr 13

Do you ever feel disorganized? Are you looking for some tips to feel more organized?

In this video, Tess, an Honors SOAR mentor, shares her survival tips for staying organized in college. She demonstrates using Outlook Calendar to manage her schedule and shows how to import class schedules directly from the registration system via ICS files. This method simplifies setup by automatically adding all classes and test blocks.

Tess also recommends using a physical planner for daily to-do lists, weekly schedules, and reminders. She emphasizes creating a system that works for you, as relying solely on memory can be unreliable. Additionally, she uses the Reminders app on her phone for extra organization.
